I’m a thoughtful problem solver

With 20 years in the digital design space, I’ve been a part of the rise of the web, the ascendency of mobile, and the evolution of the digital customer experience.

As technology evolves, designers must do the same. I began my career working as an editor in print then quickly pivoted to digital media in the late 1990s. I helped build some of the first websites for IBM and then helped define he practice of content strategy at Sapient in the early 2000s. Nearly 20 years later, I can’t wait to play a role in what happens next.

In 2012, I was invited to join the faculty at the University of Colorado, Boulder, to work with talented students of experience design. I now teach both graduate and undergraduate courses in design thinking and execution.

Work

Principal & Founder, Brighter Side

Brighter Side is a user experience strategy and design shop based in Denver, CO. I bring a long and successful career helping clients grow customer relationships in the digital space. I’ve been fortunate to include AT&T, UPS, Microsoft, Audi, and MillerCoors as clients.

Faculty, University of Colorado, Boulder

I have the great fortune of working with graduate and undergraduate students in the College of Media, Communication and Information. I teach courses in user experience design, digital social innovation, and content strategy. I find teaching the next generation of digital designers incredibly rewarding as I’m able to mentor new experience designers by delivering curriculum based on my experiences in industry.
